Resetting HVAC
Simple
- Set thermostat to off
- In home fuse box, turn off the 40 amp breaker (on your left facing the panel)
- Turn 40 amp breaker back on after a minute or so
- Wait a couple of minutes and then turn thermostat back on
- Check to see if the air is flowing from a duct
Complex
- Set thermostat to off
- In home fuse box, turn off the 40 amp breaker (on your left facing the panel)
- Turn 40 amp breaker back on after a minute or so
- Climb onto roof and take the yellow socket driver (1/4" socket)
- Using the yellow socket driver, remove center panel (above fuse box) and likewise the inner cover as well
- Check the red LED and count the blinks (iirc, typically 6 blinks)
- Use the sheet on the back of the inner panel to decipher the blink codes
- Pull fuses in HVAC and set to off position
- Check and possibly clean the terminals on the internal breaker switch
- Pull fuses in HVAC and set to on position
- From roof, yell into house to get wife's attention (if at night, a flashlight works wonders)
- Have wife turn thermostat back on
- Check that the red LED is solid
- Put the inner and cover panel back on
